Yep just beating lightly on the way home to some mike jones(chopped) and all of a sudden POP....followed by a nice smell of electronic burnout. Took it apart just now, blew a mosfet...I guess i should be happy thats all it is being a hifonics goliath.

contacted CIA to inquire about a repair. Anyone know how much they charge or how much this will run me.

Why the hell would it just blow out like this, and at low volume, not even enough to incur a voltage drop.

Emailed db-r, cause i did get this amp shipped to me from CIA and haha supposively it was suppose to be 100% working out of their hands. Shit looked like hell.

DBR blew me out said they wont repair maxxsonics products or any amp over 3kw.

Come on Audio clinic...do work.

And yes ill let you know

that same thing happen to my hifonics goliath xxv too.

i sent my amp back to audiosavings. im still waiting for it to come back.

where did you buy your amp?

There was a faulty driver card in these amps when produced.

CIA is really backed up fixing AB500.1s, Goliaths, and other amps that share this board.

You can also try Eastgate Electronics in NC. ask for Fred Wright Jr.

I dont have the number on me right now.
