Morel equipment for Sale

Hi Car Audio Family!

I Have quite a bit of equipment I want to sell and would like some input on the best way of selling. I paid a ton of money for the equipement and know that I will not get what I paid for it but I would like to get a fair price.

How do you collect money? Paypal is one method but I hate to pay uncle sam taxes for something I am not making a profit on, that does not make much sense. I would like to use checks. Do you cash them before shipping to make sure they clear? How do you handle claims that the product does not work? Speakers seem difficult to ship because people can blow them if they do not know what they are doing but then claim they are bad. What do you do to ensure that the buyer knows the speakers are good?

I have a total of 19 Morel and MB Quart Drivers along with JL Audio Slash amps and Stinger Expert Series RCAs. Most of the Morel Product is brand new

Nobody will trust you without some kind of feedback or guarantee they can get their money back if something goes wrong.

Idk about paying taxes on PayPal but they charge the seller 3% so just add that to the cost.

You're crazy as hell. When I started selling stuff on here I didn't ship a **** thing first. I would never send someone my equipment with the promise that someone on the other side of the country would pay me upon receipt.

Morel and MB is some good equipment. Use PayPal and just add 3% to cover the PayPal fees. There are no taxes paid on there.

Also take a TON of pictures and with the Morel stuff, try to provide proof that they are authentic and not knock offs. You may have paid a lot but you have no feedback, Morel products commands a lot of money and people want to be absolutely sure they are getting the real deal.

Post your price that you want or do a Google search and see what it normally resells for elsewhere and base your prices off of that. If it doesn't sell at that price then slowly start lowering your price. When someone does buy something, I recommend doing a video of the item working while stating the buyers screen name so that if the item doesn't work when they get it you can either pinpoint it to the shipping company or someone messing up on their install.

Make sure to insure any thing you ship for at least the sale value or more so if the shipping company does mess up you can make a little extra

Thanks for the feedback. I have a huge build going on my new car and have had some of this equipment back when I was going to do a Alpine F1 Status with Neo 6.1. This is why I purchased 4 extra 4" Hybrid Ovations and also 4 MT-22 tweeters. I have also a 10 inch Elate sub, and 2 Elate 6's 2 matched Supremeo Tweeters and 2 Morel crossovers that came with the Hybrid 4's. I have Audio Control 6XS, 24XS, Audio Control 6 channel EQ, DDC, EPIC 160, Stinger Caps, MB Quart 5" QSD separates.. on and on..

I will follow your suggestion of pictures and will setup a test bench so I can play the speakers to ensure they are good. Just know from experience that if things are not done correctly you can blow anything and then blame it on where you got it. That is why all speaker equipment is so **** high because people blow them and return them. I know people in Management at Morel and so I have had this conversation with Jim .. Forget his last name, Bob Morrow and Casey Thorton
