Hey guys, Im kinda new to the car audio thing, and I have a question about my amp (arriving in the mail soon, i hope, **** ebay) and my old pioneer subs.
The amp is RF 450.2 and it does 100wx2@4ohm. my subs are 150w "nominal power" at 4ohm and 450w "max music power" I assume when run bridged.
anyway, my question is can (or do) amplifiers actually put out more watts that they say? i.e. I read in a crutchfield review that some dudes amp measured at 190w each side at 4ohm.
if the RF does 450 bridged at 2 ohm, will I blow my subs wired up at 2 ohm?
I dont need destructive bass, and Im sure that I wont have the gain waaaay up, so am I safe to run bridged> I think maybe I should start with them at 100w@4ohm in stereo.
can anyone offer some suggestions here about it?
Did I just say I dont need destructive bass? my bad. what I mean is I dont need to bass to overpower the rest of the speakers, namely four Infinity 6022is, and I may run it at a lower level.
