meh, there are tons and tons of early 2000 525is with under 100000km on them, in the $15-18k range. fancy for a first car, but nothing overly exotic or expensive.

Well how much your deductable is in case of an accident or theft really raises the cost of your insurance. Switching from $500 deductables to $1k ones lowered my insurance by about $80 per month.
