I have a pioneer head unit running 22 x 4 watts with 2 polk DB460 in the front and 2 polk DB650's in the rear.... I am now installing a pioneer a nd-g500 gateway four channel amps rated at 12 x 4.My question is with the amp is the system now putting out 34 x 4 watts ??? If this is the case will it be safe to add 2 more front + 2 more rear speakers.The speakers are the same as the ones already install all are polk.Picked all 8 speakres for $ 40.00 on craiglist...

The Pioneer ND-G500 Gateway amplifier is designed specifically for the AVIC-F500BT to allow you to hear the navigation commands and your Bluetooth phone calls clearly through your factory car speakers.

you want an actual 4 channel amplifier you can power all 8 of your speakers properly. with your current setup, you cannot power 8 speakers.

you cannot add amplification like that. your head unit amplifier is separate from the ND-G500. if you bought the ND-G500 just to use it as an amp, you made a mistake. return it and buy an actual amplifier. Unless you have the AVIC-F500BT and a factory head unit (which you don't).
