The midbass from my MTX's just isn't cutting it. Right now they are getting 57 x 2 from my amp (from the birthsheet, rated at 12.X volts). The speakers are rated 50 watts RMS but they could take more than what i'm sending them now. Would it be worth it to pick up a cheap US acoustics amp that does around 100 x 2 or more, or should i save up and just look for better components?

Thank you

Hmmm, i really want to jump on that Koda component deal if it is still going on. Would i be underpowering them badly? The website says you can get full output with less than 100 watts...

well, i went ahead and got a US Acoustics usx4085 off ebay. It was 75 bucks shipped so i figured why not. i'm going to have to be very careful with the gains since i will probably bridge it to get the 240 x 2. If nothing else it will give me a good excuse to get some new components.

So that's what a burnt voice coil smells like... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/titanic.gif.8089b7552c370bcc138aa121756d0c0b.gif
