Ok so today i was all hookin up my amp(which i got today!!!) and im hooking it up, and then...i get to hookin up the Remote wire. Well i first consulted one of my friends that owns a shop a few cities over and he said the remote wire is a blue wire that has a white strip down the center of it, so i go out look for it and oh i found, how cool. BUT I followed it to find it connected to an "antenna" wire conected to the remote wire (w/ a while line down the center) via a wire nut. By this time i was sooooo confused i just put it back to gether and told my self im going to do it tomarrow. But im still confused. So if anyone knows whats up LMK....plz

Yeah...but if for some odd reason your HU doesn't have a separate remote wire, you can tap into the antenna one, but the amp will obviously only work when your antenna is up.

Odd reason? Maybe that it's a couple years old... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif They haven't always had two remote wires on HU's. Aftermarket HU's, at least everyone I've ever used, will activate the antenna wire regardless if you are using the radio or playing a CD. So if the HU is on, the amp will be on. That's how we used to hook them up back in the day.

To answer packerfan's original question- just hook the amp up to the blue/white wire and it should work fine. If you happen to have a second remote wire (solid blue) just hook the amp to that.
