More bass with 2-12" 2500rms OR with 1-15 5000rms?

Is there more bass with 2-12" 2500rms OR with 1-15 5000rms?

Im not talking about power consumption, im just asking which would you FEEL more bass with?

im guessing you'll feel more bass with the 2-12" subs because there is more surface area moving the air and therefore you would feel more bass.

Am i right or wrong with that line of thinking?

You are correct. Not only more cone area, but twice the voice coils to dissipate heat (less power compression). Obviously this does not apply to all dual 12 setups versus all single 15 setups (even with the same wattage), but all other things being equal, the 12's should perform better.

I went to this Audio place near my house and he said that Sundown Audio was just hype and I should go with Digital Design 9912 2500rms. Should I even take him seriously or go burn his store down for even suggesting that idea? Joking of course..............sorta

DD is God. Sundown is a bit of hype IMO. There was a time when they offered very good value.

It's not much more but you do get a bit more. To me it's worth it.
I can't say that this is or isn't true because I have never personally owned a higher end sundown sub or dd to these levels. But I have received demos with both. Sundown would be better for the real lows. And dd for sql from my experiences. Not saying dd can't get low but sundowns ns seems to be more violent on the lows.

I agree. But I don't listen to only decaf.

I like both DD and Sundown.

If only Sundown put the Team sub into production with neo.....

I've owned a couple different subs from both brands. Yes, DD is expensive. Yes, the higher-end Sundown subs are expensive.

I say buy used or from the Sundown yardsale. Could get a pair of 12" Team subs and upgrade electrical/amps later
