Mono or 2-channel

I have 2 15" Type Arrgh's, Dual 4. Now, Im looking to get a one ohm load. In order to do this, I have to wire them in parallel-parallel. The question is, will the impedance the amp sees be any different if its a mono amp or a 2-channel? Cuz one diagram said it would be an 8ohm load seen by the amp if i bridge a 2-channel. Thanks.

just get a mono amp that'll do the power you want at 1ohm.

Agreed, Just wire the coils in parallel each, then wire the subs themselves in parallel. Something that does 1ohm mono should be easy to find and run them nicely //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

1 ohm is 1 ohm regardless of what it's connected to.

Besides - a pair of dvc 4's can't be wired for an 8 ohm final load -- they can be wired for 8 ohms individually.

If you were to go with a 2 ch your best option would be to wire them series-parallel for a final impedance of 4 ohms, but I definitely agree with the two posts above -- for ~1000w your best option is a class D mono that will give you the power you want into 1 ohm.
