New To The Board, This Is My First Post.. Just Want To Say That I Appreciate Any Help That Anyone Gives.

I Have A 15" Jvc Cvr W/ A 1000w Mono Amp In My Trunk, And Would Like To Add Another Sub. Am I Going To Have To Get A New Dual Amp, Or Can I Make It Work W/ The Mono That I Have?

If I Can Make It Work W/ The Mono What Do I Have To Do?

Will Subs Still Hit Hard? Would It Be Senseless To Do This , Or Would It Infact Make My Trunk Bang A Louder?

Thanks Again-

Sjacobs

just for shits and giggles.

whats the model number of the dual amp. because i can tell you right now - just by hearing your setup. that this amp is producing nowhere near 1000w at all.

but adding another subs is teh easy. just let us know the MODEL NUMBER of your subs, and MODEL NUMBER of your amp. and we will let you know if you can do it.

hey sorry about that..

i did mean to put kicker, was just looking at a JVC on ebay, guess my mind mixed the two..

anyways though, i've got a

15" Kicker CVR in a single sub box and a

PROFILER CALIFORNIA 1000W AP1000M

( not sure of maker, this is all it says on amp )

thanks again.!

and how do i hook it up if i am able to use that one amp for two subs? do i bring both speaker wires to the same spot on amp, or do i have to get another piece of equiptment?

sorry for so many questions and post, but i really appreciate it

really didnt want to have to pay someone to do this for me.. just moved to this state and people charge way too much out here, i live in a rich person town ( sarasota fl ).. but anways, i know i can do it myself, i wired everything in my car , real nice, and it was my first time to do it.. got all my wires hidden under carpet, and installed new speakers in doors and rear...i just really want more bang in that trunk..

if you could tell me what i have to do in order to wire the second amp, i am sure i would be able to do it, just that knowing how to do it off the top of my head, i do not know..

thanks again

nah probobly wont be out there any time in near future.. little homegirl from Duval told me it was like 6 hrs away, too far for me to drive w/ these crooked police..

but anyways, i have no idea what the ohm is on the amp, doesnt say it anywhere. i am going to try and look around for it on the net, and see if maybe they say something..

what is the basic idea of what i would have to do?

the speaker wire that would be coming out of the new 2nd sub, where in the single mono amp would i hook it ?

can i just put 2 positive wires to the positive on the amp, and 2 negative wires to the negative on the amp, w/o blowing anything?

is there anything i can do to sub or amp to make it hit harder.. like the way i have wires hooked or anything like that?

where can i find that? on sub?

was looking online and this is what it says for my amp:

I had two Skar amps (4ch & a monoblock) go bad within a year. Post #2 is an excellent recommendation.
