Mono amp FTL...

So why not just use the HU rear RCA outputs for the subs and run your four speakers off of you HU???
I tried to have the RCAs and the regular speaker wire running at the same time, but unfortunately you have to have either all RCA or all wire //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif
Thanks for trying though

or you could save up, sell that HU and get some of the money back and get a new HU..... either way ur losing money and why not do it the right way?

you don't need to power rear speakers, btw. i wouldn't power the fronts either, unless they're aftermarket speakers.

save up ur money, sell the HU and buy a new HU with subouts, as opposed to saving ur money and buying a new amp.

the amp isn't the problem in this case, its the HU. you can't properly fix a problem without eliminating the true cause.

So.... you just basically want me to power my sub and that's it? Hmm, I like lyrics, IDK about you?

They are all aftermarket speakers that I spent a good deal of money on... the rear ones themselves were quite expensive, that's just why I hate to get rid of them. Let me ask you a question, could I just share a connection with my rear speakers? I mean, join them as one. Both rear right and rear left running off of the rear right output from the head unit? I mean, perhaps there is a splitter I can buy, or something? I just really want my rear speakers because they really help in making the surround sound effect if you know what I mean. I don't care if they don't sound as good as they could, but as long as they sound decent...

Could I wire up my rear speakers in a series? What kind of sound degredation would that cause, or would it just be db (noise) reduction?

BaseSteala112, I did have the RCAs connected to the rear outputs.

I just don't understand why you can't tap onto the rear speaker outputs from the radio and run a line output convertor to the sub amp. Seems more logical than buying more amps and a new HU. You can amp your interior speakers later.
