mono amp...4 speaker terminals

Ive got a hifonics bx1605 d mono amp. However there is 2 positives and 2 negativs for the speaker hook ups on the amp. I've never seen a mono amp with 4 terminals.

I am wanting to run the amp at 1 ohm. Would I hook two positives into 1 terminal and two negatives into 1 terminal or would i hook up 1 positive to 1 positive terminal negative to negative terminal then same thing for the other 2 wires?

the positive and negs are connected together inside the amp. it just makes it easier to connect multiple sub to a mono amp.

So hooking up the speakers into the same terminals or into sperate terminals will give you the same result.

Yes they are dual 4 ohm. I hooked them up parallel to 1 ohm. Positve to positive. Negative to negative

Yeah running 2 ohms out of each amp into the amp which gave it a 1 ohm load.

Also on the amp it has the low pass filter right...well when i have it turned all the way down (so its actually on) the bass isn't near as loud. But when I turn the filter all the way off (where the crossover is off) its a lot louder, just doesn't sound as good on some songs since of course some of the regular music and vocals are comin through the sub.

Why is this?

I have seen and had this question before. I have yet to see how it is easier or better to anyone. I will eventually own enough shares of Rf (ROFO) to influence them to influence the industry to stop this silliness.
