monitor installation basics

Just like a Amplifier I think, Remote on, power, ground.

Need to use a relay to hook everything together.

well, for a flip down or a indash monitor u just connect the 12v red wire and groudn wire...if its like that...you can find a hidden power socket...buy a socket thing with wires(u can find it at radio shaq)...and connect those wires to the monitor..badabing badaboom:laugh:

is there a certain type of relay i should use?brand, type, etc?how would i go about usin that, and whats it for??

sorry, i didnt' see this for a few days. I don't know for sure when you get the monitor, there will be a harness for all that stuff. Can you snap a photo and then PM me when you get it? I'll be glad to help. I've done lots of monitors and they're all pretty much the same so I'm confident that it'll be a snap!

Just the common 30 amp relays they use for car alarms is fine.
