Where do you think its most important to spend extra to have a nice ( i know it depend on what you want etc) system.

Ie if you were to have average parts througout your build but then one exceptional piece, where would you want the exceptional piece?

My vote is to spend extra dough on front soundstage.

What do you think?

Conversly, what component would benefit the least from being exceptional?

For that, I'm not sure...

Just pondering recently,

Ben

A think a nice amp and enclosure are tied as far as the most important in your substage setup. And a nice Crossover is a must for any high end Mids/High setup. Least would be Caps and Carpet for your enclosure I guess.

depends.. if you are having it installed then most of it is going to be towards the installation.

but if I were doing the install myself.. I try to balance it out as much as I can really. I always send more money on front stage than rear. Its a hard questions to answer really because it ends up depending on that taste of the user.

If i were going to have one exceptional piece.. it would either be a very nice sub or very nice amp. Thats just me though.

Exceptional piece would be HU to me. One that offers plenty of control over your speakers/subs and has decent pre-outs.

I'd say a nice sounding front stage AND clean/accurate sounding sub go hand in hand, so don't skimp on either and try to match them, so one doesn't overpower or sound way better than the other.

Personally I think amps are where you could save $$$. Instead of buying some of the more expensive big names, there are several proven budget amps that will work just fine.
