hi guys. now i know i will get alot of opinions,but i came across this sub today and after reading about other popular subs, i was wondering how this one does?? i mean, its looks solidly built and the price is SUPER at 160$-190 and see a lot of good things about it. now i dont want to compare this sub with RE, Kicker, ED , JL etc. coz i NEVER listen to any, being from an area not into car audio and most people buying generic brands. BUT comparing the price , especially against a JL and RE, the price is SOOO much lower. but what about quality? i hear JL IS overpriced, but still. i mean, can u beat the price, even if performance is a little lower??

oh and by the way, who makes the "SX" brand of sub? thx!

IMO the sx is worth the extra cash. the mofo gets pretty **** loud, but so does the sx, and the sx deffinetly has the mofo as far as SQ. im not too sure which gets louder seeing as i havnt heard either powered to there full extent. but there both decent drivers

yeah, ive heard the SX has it beat in SQ. but if i was going with a ported box, it would be leaning toward SPL anyway, correct? also, by "loud" is this in regards to DEEP bass? i want that hard hitting/deep bass you can really feel (rap ,dance music etc). maybe in between SQ/SPL. im not running it in competitions

i'd say something about the sub, but i have gotten to the point of where i am now sick of answering peoples questions. so i will lay it here plain and simple...

1. It's loud

2. Get the SX if you want a tad more SPL and hella better SQ

3. Get the Sub from monte_carlo97 he's a dealer and gives you a 1 year dealers warranty no questions asked

4. Dave get paypal already i am too lazy to drive to the bank and send you a money order lol. Either that or i can try and sign you under my paypal name.

i dont think it's worth it... they both will put out lots of sound but for a 100 more bucks i wouldnt do it.. but that's just me... i got my sx used for more than a mofo is new and i love it, but you can't beat the mofo's price and warranty..

considering an SX is nearly 2.5 db louder than a mofo, box v/s box, power v/s power...

the mofo, as I've stated before... is the worst performing driver I've EVER seriously tested..
