Why are all the older threads locked? Whats the point in that? Lots of good threads that should be brought back, some not even that old.

I was trying to find something that I knew I had posted. Imagine that, people here actually searching the forum. When I found it I noticed the thread was locked. Then I noticed all the threads were locked. WTF?
