MODS plz LOOK!!!

There has been way to much scamming going on the last few months an its really killing the site in my eyes. This is just a suggestion and it may be full of flaws but hear me out. Why not for every deal made on this site a mod must be involved?? As In money gets sent to mod product gets sent to mod. He looks it over to the best of his ability and then ship item to buyer and money to seller. Yes I know this will take time away from your life but a small fee could be charged for such service. I would much rather pay a mod/middle man 20 bucks to make sure the deal is legit then to just be scammed out of 100's of bucks. Just an idea. Yes I am sure more details would need to be worked out put its a solution. Plus u pocket a few bucks and bring Ca.com into a lvl of its own. Scamming would be a thing of the past.. I think its worth looking into...

Its not what it once was I will admit but the scamming is going wild and when it comes to that then its useless. I buy I sell and talk to my friends nothing more. Selling and buying on here well I am very weary due to scam after scam after scam. Ill pay a fee to be sure I get what I paid for..

I've bought things twice now. Both times from vendors and have had a good experience both times. But as far as from a private person. i don't think so... I'd rather buy new off Ebay or Craigslist for some stuff. At least CL you can try before you buy. I think it's a good idea Disturbed....

IMO, taking necessary precautions is all you need to do to not get scammed. I've done many transactions on this site over the years and anytime something seems fishy I either tip the deal in my favor (by having them ship first, etc) or just walk away. Guess how many times I've been scammed here? 0

We would need 10 times as many mods in order to handle such an idea. Could you imagine getting home from work and having 10+ packages on your doorstep that you must sort through, inspect, repackage and then send out to the correct destination?

Then there's the logistics of locations of the mods and the sellers/buyers. Who pays the shipping to/from the mod? What if both the buyer and seller are in one obscure state (where theres no mod) and the shipping costs double or triple because it has to get sent to a mod first?

What if the item arrives to the mod damaged?

What if it arrives safely to the mod but not to the seller? Who's at fault? Does the "damaged" merchandise have to get resent to the mod for further inspection?

I don't like the scamming any more than anyone else, but unfortunately there's currently no good answer to this problem. It would end up being a full-time job to do something like this and frankly I don't have the time to inspect hundreds of packages a month.

Yeah, not a fan of the middle man. Scamming does **** but if you take the proper precautions the chances are reduced greatly.

Please read the rest of my post and give your opinion. Sure, shipping a 10 pound amp twice may be reasonable, but what if it's a 75 pound sub? The shipping cost just went from $50 to $100 or more. Who's going to pay for it?

The price for a preowned RE MT for instance just went from $300 shipped to $375 or more shipped, pending that the mod gets paid $25 to inspect. The price could skyrocket depending on where the closest mod is located.

You really think it would only take an hour to go through all that stuff? Opening, inspecting, repackaging, and then having to ship it back out? Be reasonable.

Also, how far do we have to test said products? Checking voice coils? Amps/headunits function properly? What if a mod accidentally damages something?

These are all legitimate questions.

I for one, do not want to pay an extra $25 for every transaction occurring on here, that's just stupid. Besides, if that $25 is going straight to ca.com then you also have to add in the extra shipping costs which are usually quite substantial.

Exactly right. Then who gets stuck with the bill? Way too many variables involved.

the buyer... Mod spends no money buyerpays shipping sellers money stays in mods PP till its checked out... All mod would have to invest in is some tape and a drive or call ups/feds esy and simple. Hell make me a mod I will do it I could use 200 easy bucks
