Video games are a lot better if you don't have the lag time. Some players can shoot you, and you don't even see it till you're dead. Faster=better advantage.

This works because the cable company's limit your bandwidth in your routers firmware, you can check your set speeds with most linksys modems. If you flash the firmware in your router to disable, or increase your limits all the cable company has to do is take a look at your firmware, which they can do at anytime without your knowledge. These hacks are quite old now, and the time is long past when the cable companies were unaware of it. I wouldn't suggest trying it.

Thats interesting stuff, maybe i'll up my bellsouth plan. my DSL is slow as shit and i really want something faster, not so much a ton of downloading, just bellsouth is annoying.

gets old after awhile

I just delete the stuff I dont use anymore, no need to go out and buy 500GB hard drives every 2 hours
