How much do you pay to the forum?

What would you define as "needed". Going off of example I am thinking that your opinion on needed is bashing the noobs and making sure they know that around deez parts you are god and they are nothing but a reason for you to ban.

It really is no wonder that this forum basically has endless posts on what do you do for a breakup and how many tickets do you have instead of the other forums which are getting group meets together, and supporting the members.

I can see that the OP has a just reason for being upset but you just took it the wrong way. First of all, you made a thread calling out NG which is a horrible idea and will get you nowhere. You are basically just throwing fuel in a fire.

Second of all, the retort you made after NG replied to you wasn't very "mature" of you either and gave the "well it's my opinion so F you." attitude. I see were you are coming from but making a thread about it and complaining isn't going to change this forum at all. Just live with it or go post on one of your other handfull of forums.

I donate to the forum, shit tons of my time. Cleaning up spam, answering THOUSANDS of questions (most via PM or AIM), merging threads, moving threads, conversing, and giving people a hard time.

I give people a hard time, cry me a river. It's all sarcasm, and I'm quick to answer any question a person might have. Please show me examples of "n00b" bashing... and if you can find one... then tell me if it's sincere... or a sarcasm filled welcoming...

 

I have done multitudes more help... and post/PM quite a bit of help... and would be very open to seeing what you view as "n00b bashing".

It's a forum, the off-topic subsection alone is just as active as the collective rest of the forum almost. Also, there's plenty of group meets... and we all support/help eachother... this really shows in the world of SPL.

 

In fact, there's been PLENTY of Ohio meets... many organized and support by me. I've even offered my own place to stay at... if needed. Have you ever show up to one?

 

Not to mention the countless installs I've done for forum members.

I'm only responding to the have I ever shown up to a meet one as I'm in Hawaii and about to hit the beach (back to Ohio on Tuesday). I haven't been to a meet, I don't like you, why would I go?

That being said, if I was getting a custom install done you would be the first person I would go to (your shop of course). I know what kinda work you do and are capable of.

You are Canadian, you get no say.

My wife is a moderator of a forum with over 100,000 people. Her forum is so succesful that she gets paid full time to moderate it. I would consider her an expert on the subject and she thinks that we have some serious power-hungry children running the forum.

Although I chime in on this, I really can care less about who is happy or not. Sometimes this place is funny and if I need information I can just search back about 2 years ago when we had useful threads and posts.

I just think it's funny, the people who consider themselves an expert on the subject of moderation... and have never been one.

MUCH LESS... there isn't a fucking manual for this shit.

Who says we have to act differently just because we're a moderator? No one, not the admin... and certainly not anyone else on this adolescent site.

It just cracks me up, this is the internets. This isn't real life, it's not the presidency, it's not a city, and we're not police that are "sworn in to upload the law" with certain laws, regulations, ordinances and such...

Just another thought. Some people come at this like they're reporters on CSPAN or CNN... giving us reviews on how things should be ran around here... and who does a better job.

What forum does your wife moderate? (PM if necessary).

And, if this place was as bad as all the complainers made it out to be... why are you still here?
