Got a quick question.
Why is it that moderators and those that have been here forever can get away with what ever they want, and new people get banned?

I reported a post I think was rude. Thats what report a post is for.

The person who posted it was a moderator. He rudly messaged me back telling me too bad.

Is that how all the moderators are around here? Is there an admin I can PM?

The title of his PM was "GUESS WHAT"

Why is it that members who have been here 2 months feel they know the intricacies of the forum, and can question the way it's run?

As forum administrator, I do not want to see any more of this outlandish filth spewed on my forum or your account will be deleted.

How is it that time on the forum is a basis for speaking personal opinion?

he spoke his opinion, I didnt agree with it, I went about the proper measures. I was shut down.

I spoke my opinion, and now you threaten to delete my account?

That is exactly what I was getting at with reporting the post. I love to post on forums, I post on quit a few. I wanted to post here regularly, but if a NOOB goes against what and old schooler thinks, believes or whatever, he is threatened to be banned.

How is it that as a site admin, you cant even discuss it, without using the ban threat?

Arent we all adults?

No where in the forum rules, does it state an opinion will get your account deleted. But it does say that rude, hateful, etc comments will.

So why am I the one at fault? is it because I am new HERE?

mods are also elected on post count

you could be the most helpful person on the forum, but if you dont have enough posts you wont become a mod

however you can be a complete tool 50% of the time, but if your post count is in the top 10 you have a shot at becoming a mod

This is basically how all posts go of this type. If you say something about the mods, the mod ball sniffers will jump on the bandwagon to tell you how WRONG you are and how totally RIGHT the mods are.

There are plenty of threads about the mods abusing power. We have a pretty good number of great mods here (you won't see them as much they do most of the work without saying anything).....then we have the post hoes who just sniffed the balls of the past mods and are now mods themselves.

In the end....if you want the power....whatever the mods say, agree with and make sure you bash anyone that is new, you too will become an all powerful mod one day.

See but that was impossible. i reported a post, the post was that of a mod. And he didnt give a crap about what I had to say. I know no other mods to have discussed it with. This is the only way I new to get my point out.

but I am done with it now. I made my point, I see the viewpoint of the site admin not caring, so now I will press on and let stuff happen the way it happens.

Its not going to change I see, and I will no longer question nor care what happens around here.

Meh. Helpful isn't what makes a good moderator necessarily.

A good moderator is someone who is here, has been here, and will be here. One who does what's needed...
