yes i remember the days when people were able to handle the internet w/out moderation.

Thats funny. I have been on the internet since around 88 when I was dialing into BBs with my commie and a slow *** modem. People needed moderation then too. The internet has been a free for all since inception, stop dreaming about how it never was.
Maybe this site operated without moderation when their was 100 member or less, but naturally as a crowd gathers, some crowd control will ALWAYS be necessary.

there were still plenty of people around here back in 02 and 03 and moderation wasnt really necessary because most people here had at least a bit of common sense and some maturity, amazing how times have changed over a few years.

Being a mod is not as fun as everyone here thinks. Sure it has its moments of joy when we terrorize the nOObs, but for the most part, moving, re-titling, deleting, locking, getting 500 PMs a week, and many more things get old. Expecially when you dont get paid. I am here to read, learn, and keep in contact with the people I have befriended from here. I can still do the same with or without the title and responcability.

I think I just want to be normal again. Unsure at this point...

glad i dont bother you that much, i think we both can agree we dotn always agree on certain decisions. but thats life. now "for the most part" implies we are all human and make mistakes.
