i was usin my mmats with my btl dual 2....first week, i used the btl in parallel, this givin .7 with rise 1 ohm...never have a proble....today i wanted to try how much power do the mmats put out at 4 ohms...and my surprise was that, at 10 seconds of playin music, the mmats went into protect, now it doesnt want to on. it didn smell like burn or something....i can believe that the mmats 3500.1 blown at 4 ohms...or what else can be ??

I would double check all your connections first. Sounds like you might have wired something wrong when you did the switching. How do you know you were at 1ohm with rise did you actually clamp it? What was your voltage like when you were running it at .7?

yeap, the amp has never see above 12, always 13+

i use it all the week in parallel = .7 or 1 ohm

i just put it in serial = 1.4+1.4 = 2.8 and the amp go into protect. and, no, i didnt wired wrong something.....

Well how did you wire it> And did you check everything?
Sounds like you did something wrong, they dont just blow up. Also how did you like the amp. I love my 1400.2
its a great amp, never gave me problems....and yes it was wired right.....at 4 ohm configuration the amp went into protect. theres nothing wrong

If the amp went into protect at 4ohms, there is something freakin wrong. Whether it is internal in the amp, or something in your wiring, something is most definitely wrong. MMats amps are very strong, but it is not impossible that you fried something running it at .7. I still think the first thing you should do is double check all your wiring and then open the amp up.
