MMATS D2100.1 protection

stupid should hurt.
ive got a MMATS D2100.1, the other day i was listening to some music, it wasnt very loud. i turned it up for a song but it sounded distorted so i turned it down. thought it was weird cause it had never sounded like it before. when i got home the red protection light was on.

today i disconnected the speaker wires, if one of them blew, and disconnecting them from the amp should come out of protection, it did not. while i was in the back seat i turned on the car, before the amp came on there was a noise comming from the amp, like a shreeking noise, then went into protect. i dont have a DMM at the mement, so i cannot check for voltage drop, but im sure its probably not that. cause it have almost never droped below 13volts.

i called a dealer, they said it could be a bad power supply. i opened the case and there were no burn marks, but i really dont know what to look for. i would call up mmats but they are closed till the 5th. the dealer said if they were to fix it they would probably replace the board for $180. ive got some good contacts at a shop, they said they would look at it, but being not a dealer they arn't sure what they can do, and the nearest dealer is 3 hours away.

is there anything i can do?
