I don't know about the other amplifiers, but I don't like the fact that MB Quarts mono block amplifiers (ref, onx, and q) require a mono signal on both of their RCA inputs (they do not sum the left and right input), meaning that you have to take just one (say left) sub out from head unit and split it with Y-splitter. I know that on 99% of recordings this will make not difference, but I am vary of company that makes you buy a $10 Y-splitter and possibly take a small hit in SQ so that it can save a few nickels on resistors to be used in amplifiers input section.
If it's within your budget, consider Boston Acoustics GTA-1000m. Rated for 1000watts at 2ohms, and Boston amps usually do the rated power, and a little more. Based on reviews, it seems like a fantastic mono block amp.
