anyone have a system in one? one of friends might be putting a system in his and is wondering if they rattle a lot or if they are sturdy or what

from what i noticed... the back deck rattles like crazy!!!! remove the rear deck.. sound deaddin it and fasten the rear deck down.. so it has no chance of rattleing again..

Not sure, but I am sure if you are putting x amount of sub/s in there off x amount of power it is going to rattle some. I would just tell him to check into some deadner, which there is many brands out and deaden the trunk and take it from there.

Only car I have had that didnt rattle the trunk much was my cutlass with over 4000rms off 4 12's, lol! How you ask, well box was built in trunk and plexiglassed and the rear deck was molded for my entire port.

Now ask me how bad my back window vibrated and broke and how the top of the roof would wave at me, lol!

i installed a Fi X in my buddies lancer and it had a lot of rattles in the rear deck and many other places we couldn't pinpoint. we shoved foam inbetween the deck and the rear windsheild and it helped a lot and also turned the box so the sub and port fired into the side of the trunk... didn't noitice any decrease in bass and it stopped a lot of rattles...
