C520:

http://www.mio-tech.com/gps-navigation-products-c520-overview.htm

main difference are: the C520 has "text-to-speech" voice (it will say "turn right on main street" vs the C320 "turn right in 40 feet"

C520 has bluetooth, more points of interest, and some other things.

the 320 is 250 at radio shack, the 520 is 350 at circuit city.

(cheaper online of course)

you think the 520 is worth the extra money?

also, see if any of you can get the product compare thing on Mio's site to work, it doesnt work for me.....

I deal with both units on a day to day basis, so I have a good bit of play time with them.. Althought the 520 is a nice unit, its really not worth being double the price of the 220.. Yes it has a bigger screen, text to speach, and can play videos ect, but most of that doesnt matter much for navigation. As for text to speech, it is a nice feature to have, but it not necessary. The 220 is accurate enough with the turn by turn, and on a side note, the street you turn on next is clearly displayed on the screen. Mio gps's are probably my second fav company to deal with. We have very minimal problems with them aswell compared to other gps's. now if you care about viewing videos, using blue tooth, and ect, then by all means the 520 will probably suite you better.

Btw wrong section...

Yes.. What you could do is buy a wired cigarette lighter plug, then hardwire it behind your deck, and use that as power, that way your main outlit wont be taken up..

can i have it where i can have the unit turn on with the car and off with the car, instead of having to hit the button each time? also, can it be wired where the voice commands and everything play through my car speakers?

I suppose you could if you get a 9mm/ headphone to headphone plug, and plug it into the auxilary jack of your cd player, and into the gps unit. That way it would play through your system. So yes it is possible..

lol ya i just now realized that.

im not getting the Mio anymore. im stuck between the TomTom GO720, GO910, or GO920

the 920 just came out, and prally expensive. the 720 is out now, and 499 (retail, trying to get a hookup thru CC or best buy on that if i get that one)

and the 910 was replaced by the 920, but still upgradable, and i heard that the 910 will be upgradable to the 920's interface by the end of this year.

the 910 is like 300ish on ebay for refurbs, and it has a remote, 20gb hard drive, and some other things. the 720 has no hard drive, and the 920 i think has 4gb. the 920 i think retails for 699 though....

Tom tom is probably one of the units i dislike the most. If anything get a garmin or a mio. Like i mentioned, both have been far more reliable than the tomtom units..
