Have you been there recently?? Why are you making this post? The greatest famine in North African history was in the mid 80's and yes, there are still great ramifications of this crisis.
Since then the nutritional famine has been reduced and there are greater issues for the people of Ethiopia and Eritrea and these issues have to do with a regional land and tribal crisis.
To all of the people in this thread that talk America this and America that.. and get hard dicks and think that every crisis in the world has some connection to the U.S... GROW THE FU(K UP!!!!
There are HUNDREDS OF issues that are completely horrible happening every day all over the world. Many of them are regional conflicts that the average CA kid would never know about or even care about.
In some situations the U.S. gets involved. Aside from the relative aid that may come from a DOS USAID effort or in the worst circumstance, a militaristic incursion from the U.S. military... there are hundreds of humanitarian situations being addressed all over the world.
And i think it is funny that in a few threads that pop up here or there on this forum.. the level of ignorance is so outrageous that when it comes to foreign affairs there is SOOOO much speculation about other countries and a lot of generalization. Why is it that almost every time someone brings up a conflict abroad, some bring up terrorists, that could possibly be Islamic fundamentalist terrorists???
I WANT TO KNOW HOW MANY KIDS ON THIS FORUM ACTUALLY THINK THE U.S.A. is the most "FREE COUNTRY IN THE WORLD" and the COUNTRY THAT EVERYONE ELSE IN THE WORLD WOULD LOVE TO BE IN........
And I also want to know why so many kids here have made posts about wanting to visit other countries and have a legitimate international experience but say they simply do not have the money.... when they are putting piles of money in their systems..
