Technically, only ~80% are Christian (by the way, Catholicism is Christianity...no "/catholic" needed). The country does not silence the majority, as is obvious from the fact that Christmas is celebrated in a country whose constitution stipulates a separation between the church and state.x2 its as if saying merry Christmas is "wrong" these days. If I know somebody is jewish, I wont say it. 90% of Americans are christian/catholic and celebrate Christmas, but our country silences majority anyways
