I have 2 buddies that are in different situations. I'm curious as to what your opinions are as far as them getting returns in 2009.

1. This one owes back child support. I was told that the IRS can only keep one of your returns, forgot if it was state or federal. Is this true?

2. This guy owes like $50k due to being a dumbass and interest. Will he get anything back or is everything going to be withheld?

Mike is right. Same shit happens every year with my wifes ex because he owes so much in back taxes.

He usually don't pay though, least the last year............because the *** hat refuses to work! Just got his car repoed the other week. Guy is 32, same age as me. Fawking waste of space!

1. Won't see an income tax check until he is current or the child support division fails to keep his name on the list for the IRS list...if he is married his wife will have to file an injured spouse document so that she can see her portion of the income return that is due.

2. This guy won't see money from the government for quite some time. With a debt this huge it is a wonder the IRS hasn't seized his physical assets(home, cars, land etc) or have filed liens against his checking/savings accts. At some point they will definitely start garnishing his wages if he doesn't make an aggrement for repayment schedule. The interest alone will make him miss money for years!
