I agree, I absolutely hate it when people refer to this pop music out now as hiphop. I mean its a common mistake and most people dont know any other 'hiphop' than bullshit party tracks from lil jon, ludacris, etc..

what the hell are you talkin about? i havent watched tv in months, aside from the history channel or discovery channel, and thats like once a month. mtv? are you ****in joking? i very rarely listen to the radio, because as said, its weak.

all of that is not mainstream, except for kanye, and kanye sucks. i guess i should have clarified that, i know there is still good underground rap coming out, but the mainstream shit is pathetic. it used to be there was good mainstream rap, too short, the click, tupac, wu tang, redman, the old school no limit, now its just laughable.

honestly though, i would have never said, even back in 96 that rap had more content that other genres of music. jam bands especially OWN rap musically. phish, particle (if you havent heard particle, you have to) string cheese incident, galactic, the big wu, a perfect circle (although they arent really a jam band) now thats music.

yeah they're all had a lot of good music, back in the day. in the last couple years? 3 6's last few albums? HA!!! the only 3-6 that gets any play in my ride is the end and world domination, prophet posse occasionally. thats it. dj screw died back in like 99 didnt he?

screw died in 2000:crying: sad day for everyone... i like some mainstream rap but underground is the shit... i think its tight how alot of rappers that i used to listen to underground are now makin it big.... except mike jones... that lil ***** is just a ******.... hes not even in swishahouse thank god... now they got lil keke who is 10 times better..... i made a remix to one of his songs... goes like this "Back then hoes didn't want me, now I'm hot and they still dont want me" pretty good i know

dont watch mtv, I have heard lots of lil flip and 36, in fact, back like freshman year in highschool I was REALLY into all that old school houston rap. My tastes have matured IMO, and to listen back to that stuff now its ridiculous, but at 16 years old I was into it. And what is 'tight' about lil flip old school?
