Might get a W6 today

I'll put one of my Brahmas against a W6 any day //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif Although if I had 450 bucks burning a hole in my pocket I would probably pick up the Aura 1808 motor with 12 top that's on here with the change used to try out a couple different enclosures. if you want to try the JL out go for it. If nothing else it gives you more of a knowledge base when you attempt to advise other forum goers.

If new is your thing pick up a CSS SDX12. Instead of rehashing well known drivers that are proven on numerous account to be solid drivers, break the mold.

Unless i'm mistaken, the only piece they import overseas is the basket (the motor and soft parts should be made/assembled in USA).
Motor is machined in house I believe. You could say the sub is 12.5% Made in the USA. To have the Made in USA designation, it has to be 95% American parts I believe. Fi oems SSA, AA, and Xfire

says right on the SSA home product page

*All SSA Sub Woofers are Designed and Built right here, in the U.S.A.

better yet

not to take anything away from the subs (they still are legit subs), but had to clarify that

Things I've learnt over the past 4 years on forums

1. Just because a forum that does not like any mainstream just because it's mainstream says it **** DOES NOT mean it *****.

2. Just because a forum says it's good does not mean it's good.

3. Just because a forum says it's over priced does not mean it's over priced.

Souldrop I had a crystal comp in the early 2000s. It was pretty good. Not W6 level when it comes to blending with the midrange.

Most of you have no idea what a sub like the W6 is designed to do, in its market it's cheap.

Ferrite is also imported.

Lol @ idiots trying to down the w6. Great woofer. And double lol @ people comparing it to some bastard speaker somebody glued together with whatever random *** parts he had laying around.

This forum is filled with stupid.

So W6 at 2 ohm on the M1 or what for the SW3512? The 35 will be a good bit more money since I'll get it all composite.

Look into Incriminator Audio Flatlyne series...3inch underhung(SQ) high x-max design...similar to the Audiomobile MASS series (my favorite SQ driver).

Or if you're going sealed maybe look for a nice LMS coil/motor sub...like the Eclipse SW8200 or one of TC LMS offerings.

Between the DD and the JL I would definitely go for the JL especially if you're getting it through an authorized dealer...JL support is excellent.

The 12w6v3 is on a short list of drivers I'm really wanting to try.

Just my 2 cents

I'm sticking with stuff I can get local. No more mailing subs for this guy.

I have a friend at JL and always had good CS from DD and I really like the dealer.

Local I have JL, DD, Hertz that I would pick from.
