Well, it's not THAT bad of an experience. I think it was in Homestead; we(as in my family) were going to to the Keys for a few days, and had to stop somewhere in Homestead. We got two rooms in the worst looking motel possible; I was in a room with my cousin, and we were probably fourteen. Anyway, late in the night -- around 3:30AM -- we had some guy banging on our window and door. I looked out of the peephole and it was some scary looking addict. He kept banging on the window for a few minutes, and we flipped over our beds and armed ourselves with a TV remote and Bible.

He went on to do the same to my dad's/sister's room, and we got back to sleep. Shit was scary for us youngsters. We're from a pretty rural place with little crime, so we weren't prepared for anything like what happened.

homestead is weird like that... us 1 cuts right down the center... east of it is GHETTO, west of it is nice. as soon as you cross into the east side of 1 tho, you better be strapped, lol

Wouldn't the nicer part generally be on the ocean side?
