Mids for SQ

Buddy i hate to say it, but in my opinion i think if you want to run a 3way type setup like you are talking then you should buy a nice 3 way componet system made to work together and a bigger amp to push them unless you can find a 3way system that runs @ 2 ohms. Rainbow and mmats both have some nice 3 way systems. Also if you can find any the old eclipse 3 way systems were great.

WoofersEtc.com - SC8355 - Eclipse 5.25" 3 Way Component Speaker System

WoofersEtc.com - SLC 365 - Rainbow SLC 3-Way Component System

WoofersEtc.com - CSX 465.20 - Rainbow CSX 6.5" 3-Way Component System (this set has a 2 ohm impedance)

WoofersEtc.com - SAC 465.25 - Rainbow 6.5" 3-Way Component System (so does this one)

I have enough power for either of those sets. just would have to bridge my amp. Most midbass drivers wont fit in my install though. The ssmb6s do. Talked to a pe tech today and any 8ohm driver will work for mid and any 8 ohm tweet. its all frequency matching from here. I'm gonna build my own one way or another even if I end up building my own passive xover! lol

both are better suited for in enclosures really. The fostex will probably work best in car. the mark audio's really don't take very much power
yea, see I need to find one that will work well in a car too. I know alot of the drivers i have been looking at have lower sens ratings and I'm thinking, especially off axis, that they may not keep up volume wise

you find it out by hearing it, usually you will see a spike in response as well. problem is it's not only when it plays that freq, it does it more often then that making it sound weird. that's why you got to build the xover to mask that. I'm only learning on xover design so I'm not much help yet sorry. Your best bet is to go to a HT forum if you need xover help
