Midbass sounds horrible...

I have a set of CDT components hooked up to a HiFonics 4406...and the midbass just buzzes like crazy. Maybe I haven't tuned the amp right? Should I take it to a local shop to have everything tuned correctly? I've put so much into this new system and I'm kinda disappointed...

try switching the polarity

check to make sure its mounted firmly to your door. if the mid is not blown it wont buzz, unless its not securly mounted. especially if the mounting plate is made of metal (like when you go from a 5x7 to a 6.5" adapter).
