midbass question

but would it sound that much different?

Yes. Don't do it.

You should have designed a complete system in the first place. Adding a mid/bass system now because you don't have enough will not work.

Sub/bass is difficult to tell which direction it's comming from because of the long wavelengths. As you go higher in frequency the sound becomes more directional. A mono mid/bass will ruin your stereo imaging. Mid bass is directional and will sound like *** comming from a mono source in your console.

Take out the speakers you have now, and replace them with better speakers and better door sealing/deadening.

Chances are you can improve your mid/bass by improving your door deadening and how your current woofers are installed now. Mount them on MDF rings, with modeling clay, seal the doors inside and outside skins with SS DP. This will give you improved mid/bass.

I just looked up your speakers. Co-axials ****. You should have bought one set of decent componets instead of 2 pairs of crappy co-axials.

Now your leaning why decent components are so important.

Get one decent set of 6 1/2" components and spend some time and money to install them right.

I agree with this almost completely. For some it may work, but I think after a short period, you'll want another bandage.

He installed 2 pairs of cheap co-axials. No mention of how he sealed his doors. I'm guessing he didn't. It's not a surprise he doesn't have decent midbass.

For the same price he could have bought one set of components and some dampening.

yes i bought them before i reliazed the importance of good ones. and im not deadening this car becuase im going to be getting a new one in a few months and i dont have the cash (im 17) to drop alot of deadening if i wont be using it more than a few months. will on next car tgho
