Microsoft SYNC - is this true?

I have a 2008 Ford Focus with Microsoft Sync

Trying to hook up an Alpine PXE Audio Processor to Stock Unit, 4 new speakers, 2 amps and a sub

I just spoke with an audio installer who said that he cannot hook up anything aftermarket to any cars with SYNC... is this true? Or is he just an idiot and should I go to another place? (I'm afraid another place may not even know what the Sync is and mess it up)

Thx

As long as you are not removing the factory HU you should be able to add anything with the right signal adapter.
Thats what I thought (which is why i dropped the 400 bucks on the Alpine)

I see your from NJ, any suggestions for a good installer? I'm in Essex Cty

the only issue i could see with it would be removing the headunit, and the microphone, but i highly doubt that is in one of the speakers. i am gonna say take it to a high end shop that has the talent and resources to figure it out for you.
