I go down to south FL every couple months.... i always stay on Hollywood beach, its only about 1/2 hr away from South Beach and there still are some nice clubs/restaurants in the immediately Hollywood area.... U can find a nice hotel room on the beach itself for only $100-$150 in the summer time. If u try to stay on Collins good luck not spending $300+ a night for a decent room...

Btw if ur in Hollywood, FL and want the best steak around go to Beaf Eater.

Only time i stayed there was 1 day before we had to leave for a cruise, it was right on the water in the Miami Intercontinental Hotel. It was a very high class place, with valet ( whose personal vehicle was a mini cooper ) Place was freaking awesome tho. Even had an outdoor market thing next door. I highly recommend it if you can afford it

ps the view from the bay windows in the rooms is AMAZING at night

im moving back to miramar but most likely bunche park. ive been up here in chi for the last 2 years and im not going thru a nother winter after being there 10 years and coming back here no way.

my suggestion is stay up at sunny isles beach it will be cheaper cuz its not actual miami and only 20 min away is south beach just take the A1A all the way down and get to see all the other beaches along the way.

Agreed... Worst drivers in America in Miami. I don't think I've ever spent a day there without seeing an accident happen or an accident that just occurred on the side of the road.

That sucks.

oh yeah im planning to stay there 10 days so if hotel's 300/nights = 3 grand just for the hotel. Hmm not really sure if i want to spend that much on the room ill be just sleeping in. i'll be out most of the time.

so i guess for the room wanna do 120-150 / night. i think 3-4 star shud be fine with me.

Being born and raised down there I would suggest either Hollywood/Hallandale Beach or North Miami Beach for a cheaper place to stay and easy access to SoBe/the Grove/ Lauderdale and even Palm Beach.

As for food, it depend upon what you eat, how much you can fork out and where you are staying. Some of the best ethnic food in the country can be had in NMB, insane Cuban, Jamaican and Hatian foods and on the cheap too.

I personally stay north of Hollywood, you couldnt pay me to go down there anymore and I have family that I havent seen in a few years because of it, but you know what they say, different strokes for different folks
