Metered the van for the first time

Hey 2000LADE. Lafayette this by chance isn't the build that sound check was talking about doing a couple of months ago when i was up is it? They were talking about doing "the van" and astro with 18's lol. They asked back then if i would come over and help on the van and give a few ideas. I just have been kinda busy tell RP sorry if this is the one they were speaking of... I would have liked to help on that one too... grrr. Not sure if it is it. BUT if you were going through sound check then it is it. Tell them jeremy from indy says hi.

nah this isnt the astro sound check is gonna do. this is actually my own personal project that i coulda used help on haha in my 1996 ford aerostar with 275,000 miles. but so far im extremely happy with it considering this is my first wall and i just did shit as i went. i sure wasnt expecting a 154.1 the first go around with just one amp especially this ma audio amp that ive had laying around for over a year.

ill let RP know u said hi. they still havent started on the astro yet. they got the concrete in it but thats it. they havent made up thier mind if they wanna run 4 18's or 4 15's i suppose. thats what its came down too last time we talked about the van. id actually like to buy it off them myself and finish it since i have the gear already. then i could actually utilize my 4 18's instead of 3.

So your system is 16v right?? What are the sundowns gonna be putting to each sub and at what ohm??

I think he was at upper 140's with one 18" ma sub a while back

at 16v the sundowns are supposed to put out around 5500 or so. right now i couldnt even tell ya how much im gettin out of that ma audio amp.

and thank you that was the first time on the meter and i only metered it 3 times so i havent beena ble to find the peak frequency yet. so i could go up a few tenths or a whole nother db i dunno. ill meter it again in the future but im gonna wait to really work on it when i get my sundowns.

Nice....jump from mid 40's to mid 50's can't beat that.Cosideribly more power for that hungry amp!

should do at least 157, but i think your gonna need closer to 20k to break the 160 mark... good luck man and keep up the hard work...

yah i plan on doing 2 3000d's on each sub but that will come later in time. alot more money to do that.

I have the RD audio 1750s basically a 1500 and i love um.. run @ .25 as long as its over. 5 actual... with NO problems.... I was getting 2800 out a pair strapped @ 1.8 @ 11.2 volts! out of one with a .9 ohm load after rise i was getting about 1580 @ 12.2 volts.... so i imagine @ .5 with 16volts 2400 or so with ease.. those numbers where not clipped to hell ether.. if i would clip them i could get over 3200 with the pair @ 11 volts..

Yeah depending what ohm you have that amp at It prob is pushing between 3200 to 4000 watts. So you prob will need between 13,000 to 17 ,000 watts to break the 160

well in the future i plan on 6 3000d's running at .5 ohm each as long as they can handle it. i figured that would be 20,000w + . so thats definetly gonna make or break the prototype speakers i am running.
