Metal Subwoofer Box....

I know this guy that wants to build me a metal speaker box for my IDMAX 12 when it gets here. Anyone here know anything about a metal speaker box besides the fact that it will be heavy!! Do you think it will give me better perfomance for my sub??

i built a sealed metal box for a friend--i used peel n seal on the entire inside surface after it cooled down from welding it together and it sounds terrific.

i've seen a CNC milled aluminum box before...hell of a lot of work to get the thing internally dampened, but very cool if you're into the bling-bling factor.
