metal aero ports?

im building an enclosure and need some ports, well i noticed ive got some big metal pipes just sittin in my basement

i can flare the ends but just wanted to check if there would be problem with using the metal

i dont see why not except that it'll be heavier... how do you plan on making the flares?

my plan was to heat and roll, not really sure on the technique yet i wanted to make sure those pipes would work first
