MERCEDES BENZ s430 AMP install

Hi Guyz! plz tell me whether it is "Crucial" to install LOC in order to install (2) separte amps in MERCEDES or would it not effect the SQ if done directly from radio to amps. Is it possible to go without it, just like other cars? i think it should but i have no knowledge. One amp would power front comps and other (2) subs.Having LOC installed will cost me additional $450.00 plz give your opinion. If it matters car year model is 2003 MB S430.

WTF>? Installing two LOC would cost $450.00 ? I know Car Audio shops are always trying to rip people off, but that is just obsurd. I can buy two LOC for $30-40 bucks, and installation is simply a matter of splicing into a couple of wires. If you can afford a s430, I suggest you look into some double din 7" dvd players so you don't have to deal with LOC. It's to my understanding that LOC can only provide so much clarity. Tell the car audio shop to F_ck off and order everything online/install it yourself.

Audiocontrol makes quality pieces so I wouldnt worry about it being worse quality if you bought that 6ch LOC

If you really wanna keep your factory H/U....I would say go with the AudioControl 6 channel Loc First and continue building your system......If you dont like how it sounds later on....you can always upgrade to an aftermarket H/U.....I really think you'll like how it sounds with the AC LOC though.....

JL Audio just came out with their line of LOC. Good stuff there.
