Memphis st1000.1 OR Orion XTR900

I am looking to pick up one of these for my 2 memphis m3154d subs, I can get the memphis for 185 used or the orion for 100 used which would be the better choice??? Thanks

if your talking about the st 1000d then its a very good amp not sure about the orion

the Memphis is nice casue its very efficient and its tiny for a 1000watt amp

I am def thinking about it i will be in stock seeing as ive decided to go with a sealed enclosure in trunk. I will prob have some steep comp. I used to help out damon mletzko on team jbl with his cavalier and 3 10 gti with a 6000 crown 159+db. that was alot of fun. I would have to get with the group again so maybe if i meet the right people, and get the right setup

I had quite the opposite experience with Memphis I had bad luck with a PR 2.75 dying twice under warranty (as well as finally dying in a car accident) and two other Memphis amps (M Class and a Mojo) that I had transshipped that arrived BNIB and NOT working! Although this was in 2007, I never considered Memphis amps again.

The main problem with ALL these Memphis amps appeared to be a lack of circuit board support, thus resulting in the transistors snapping off at their legs. I always said that I would NOT buy another Memphis amp until they secured their circuit boards by something other than the transistors and 4 screws:furious:

I am going to run the orion first, keep the memphis as backup just incase.....or just sell it for 2 hundred more than i got it for....win win either way as i see it. after reviewing these amps they both seem killer.
