if those caps are as swollen as they look, do NOT hook it up without fixing or qualified circuitry testing first. if the power supply isn't blown yet, it will be...... i'd like to have that amp just for nostalgic reasons....

i have a lot of amps from around that time........ it's cold-weather discharge swelling. here in the great white north, it happens more than i care to admit. same thing as what happens to a battery, in fact, if it happens to your battery, 1 out of 10 times it happens to the amp. 2 of my favorite amps had this happen. the soudstream 1000sx blew pieces of fiber all over, and was visible, so i replaced them before doing any damage, but the 600d shorted when i powered it last winter........ i would not put power to it without at least having them removed/tested.......of course, it could be the pic. more of a side profile would show better

Well the guy I did the trade with told me it worked 100%. only the gains knobs spin all the way around. The amp has been in my closet for a year, I completely forgot I even had it. That's why I'm selling it as a non working amp since I haven't powered it and don't know if it works. I might be able to test it today in one of my friends car.

I have 3 of these amps its plastic that goes over the cap foor looks.... Ill put 500 on it pp...
Same, I got 2 of them one on the way, they all look like that, Even my crossfire VR1000 has those bubble top caps, Its a cosmetic thing instead of starring at the foil folds.

wow thats great i have a bmf-1000d here as well with the same! they were the same style caps! if you got to push the bubble in the cosmetic piece will pop out and then u can see!

I got a pair of JL Audio XR german made 6.5's both work great one has a tiny little slit in the surround (how I got them) easy fix, I was going to use them in a pair of shelf speaker cabs but I would trade for this and I dont care if the amp works or not..

the gain is not an issue the remote gain bypasses the amp gain anyway on that model

they were the 1st retail manufactured D class amp iirc...

been a very long time since I worked for Fultron/Memphis/Aria

in fact still got 1 running 2 of the original Japanese made Type subs in my brothers minvan...
