So I have decided to just completely drop the JBL line sub wise. I am debating on going to the Memphis Pr 12's. Are they really what they are cut out to be. My buddy has 2 hooked up to the 500 watt PR amp and they are loud. I have a JBL GTO1201.1II. For $77 a piece could I really go wrong with getting 2 of them or is there something better for the same price from either kicker, alpine, fosgate, or boston?

The pr's have worked great for me,for only being 80 bucks a peice,I havent ran jbl in a long time so im not sure about the GTO 1201.1.Ive been running a memphis 1000d to each pair of my pr's for a long time now and havent hurt them yet.But i dont beat on my subs either they only get full power at comps.Sorry i cant help any more then that.I recomend pr's they are a good sub for the price.

Well I've seen alot of subs out there and heard alot more, but I started with the memphis line and they never did me wrong.

I ran a pair of them in 2cubes each and did 145.7-146 with them,hard to complain about 160 dollars worth of subs doing that

Memphis PRs are low end 50 dollar ebay subs,far from extrodinary......

Save up a few bucks and get something that will actually sound good,there are MANY subs metioned on this forum that give more value for your dollar,Memphis is far from what I would call a company that offers extra value for the dollar ...

PS,Id rather have a JBL in my car than a Memphis anyday

i ran 4 15" memphis Pr's in an 17 cube box tuned 26hz. it sounded **** good and moved tons of air! and like i said these are some grate subs for the price!

about 56Hz right now still have to finish my wall and brace then tune it to 63Hz.After about a half hour of screwing around,with my batteries beat down pretty good i did a 151.2.So fresh id probly say a 152 before the rest of the work.

Its ok im not worried i know the limits of the PR's and at the price i only know of a couple subs that can match them.

yea i actually thought about runing 12 12" pr's in an clamshell wall that should be sick!
