Memphis PR12D4V2 help

Hey guys,

I just bought the sub woofer in the title. It was a great deal and I figured it would be an improvement from my junky 10" Sony xplod (yes, I'm a newb with all of this audio stuff).

I am going to build a box for the new Memphis 12" and I need some help deciphering the recommendations that Memphis provides. I want to go sealed for general ease of build, SQ, and save space in my Acura sedan's trunk.

Below is a picture of the factory recommendations. The very bottom, highlighted sub is mine.

you need a box size of 1.25cuft plus displacement(airspace in box that sub actually takes up)

so your aiming for around 1.35-1.45

everything from there is knowing how to find volume mathematically

To measure box size you need to take the 3 sides internal measurements say 24' x12' x 9' = 2,592 divide by 1728 (cu. ft. ) and you'd have 1.5 cu ft internal air space

I understand the volume numbers, allll of those other acronyms are unclear to me. What are they there for?
