how many watts do u think i should send to my memphis pr124d sub? the manual says 200 rms and 400 max. but ive heard that memphis is underrated. do u think i could run it off 400 rms?

Yes, I had a 10in with 400 mono an pounded nicely.........

Depends on amp. Not postive but my friend had PR at 1ohm an busted a coil so Im kind of bias. Are you asking 600 for single sub?

400 per sub would be perfect just make sure gains an boost are ajusted right......

I had 2 M class's sharing 900w (underrated alpine a/b powah!) and they just laughed at it. Ive heard, from the local dealer, that people have run almost 1000 a piece to them and have em live to a ripe old age... though i personally wouldnt. I would say about 500 a piece and they shine like platinum grillz.

BTW, I tried to kill em by turning the bass boost and gain to max and pound the shit out of em to give me a reason to replace em with something else... 5 hours later i gave up. Damned low distortion amp...//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/mad.gif.c18f003ab0ef8a0d9c27ca78d77a6392.gif They still sound great, no smoke or anything. I was kinda disappointed they didnt die.
