Memphis PR 12s

Why? Do they beat harder in a sealed box?
well, a sealed box will give you a flatter response overall. In a ported box, it will peak around what ever it is tuned at, and not handle higher/lower frequencies that well then what it was tuned for.

While I usually prefer ported for most applications, I think you will be happy with how these will sound sealed.

Yeah, I could always try it and see if I like them sealed.

Now, I looked on my "Enclosure Recommendations" sheet that came with the subs and it says....(this is for 1 sub)

Sealed c.f. 1.25

Vented c.f. 2

Tuned Hz. 40

Now i'm pretty sure Memphis knows what they're talking about when they put 40 Hz. But who knows.....

Trust me on this, I was a HUGE PR fan after they came out. Alot of bang for the buck. But: you have to give them MORE box than that sheel calls for, AND lower tuning. I ran 2 s4PR10 on a 500d in 3.8ft at 30hz. And loved it. For a long time.

So what enclosure would you recommend for a couple 12s?
