Memphis or Sound Splinter

So i've narrowed it down on my new subs (i think) and now i need your opinion.

They'll either be

I hear they both have great SQ and SPL, i just can't decide.

The only problem is my box has a mounting depth of 7.75" and i wonder if the memphis is cutting it too close.

I'm pushing these with a audiobahn amp (400 x 2 at 2 ohm ).

I'm not going to make any generalizations like that since I've never heard any memphis subs but my rl-p is amazing and supposedly the sq on the rl-i is just as good. I don't think you can go wrong with the rl-i's. They seem to be a great sub.

Personally I wouldn't even consider the memphis's over the RL-i's. I also am not going to make any generalizations because of the obvious fact that the outcome is install dependant, but I would definately take the RL-i's.

mephis makes some good subs, but i have heard good things about ss.

Can't say anything about SS subs, but Memphis is a great company...

ya, the new soundsplinters all have the anodized cones. mine is the "limited edition"

All the SS subs have aluminum cones. None of them have poly cones.
