So im going to get 2 memphis power reference 12''s in a nice ported box. I just want to know if anyone knows what the difference between the mclass and the power reference subs are? also, what would be a good amp to match them up with that does appx 1000 rms at one ohm?

a few reasons. the type-r was loud but i started having electrical issues. Im running a stock battery, stock alt, and a 2500 watt amp + a 300 watt amp. Also, the Type-R had so so sound quality, and i know for a fact that power reference have AMAZING SQ, as i ahve had them before.

but, if i can pinpoint why my HCCA fried at a relativly low volume, ill keep it

Power Reference are way better than M-class. Dont ask my why. Heard both in the same box with same power. PR sounded better and was louder. Can I ask why your going from a type r with a 2500d to this?
Dude you got it backwards. The M-class is better than the Power Reference series. You may have just heard a Power Reference set-up that sounded better to your likeings. But the M-class is the better of the two.

True. Everyone hears sound waves diffrently. I was just stating that when you go into a Memhis dealer you are going to pay more $$ for the M- Class. I had a PR 1000.1 and a M- Class 1100.1 and I could hardly tell the difference. But what matters is what sounds good to you. Later On Dudes........
