Memphis M3, how many watts?

Just picked up a 2008 Model Memphis M3 12" last week, website says 400wRMS, but I was told it can handle much more. I have a Crunch Amp, but I'm looking to upgrade, so my question is, what sort of power should I be able to run to this Sub safely? It's 4ohm DVC, I'm running it at 2ohms.
